Access & Account Setup

You receive an invitation link via email. Use this link to create your AssetIdent account. Self-registration is not possible.

Important: The invitation link is only valid for 24 hours. Register promptly after receiving the email. If the link has expired, contact us — we will send a new link.

Projects

After logging in you see all projects you are assigned to under Projects. Each project typically corresponds to a building or a survey assignment.

  1. 1 Select an existing project from the list — or create a new one via New Project.
  2. 2 Open the project — you reach the project overview with Import Manager, Analysis and Staging Area.
3

Import Notes

AssetIdent can ingest walkthrough data in two ways:

Upload BCF file

Export a BCF ZIP from OpenSpace (or another tool) and upload it in the Import Manager. Suitable for one-off or manual handovers.

Direct OpenSpace connection

Connect directly to an OpenSpace project via API key. New walkthroughs are detected automatically — no manual export required.

How to import new notes:

  1. 1 Click Import Manager in the project.
  2. 2 Upload a BCF file or, if an API connection already exists, click Load new notes.
  3. 3 The imported notes appear in the list and are ready for analysis.
4

Start AI Analysis

The AI analyses the photos and descriptions of each note: it detects the asset class, extracts manufacturer, model, year of manufacture, serial number and other characteristics, and assigns each result a confidence score.

  1. 1 Click Start analysis.
  2. 2 The notes are processed one by one and disappear from the queue once complete.
  3. 3 When the list is empty, all notes have been processed and can be found in the Staging Area.
Depending on the number of notes and image quality, analysis can take a few minutes to up to an hour. The page does not need to remain open.
5

Staging Area — Review Results

All processed assets are listed in the Staging Area. Here the AI results are reviewed, corrected if necessary and approved for export.

What you see in the detailed view:

Class & Confidence Score

The AI assigns each asset a class (e.g. “Heat meter”) and shows a percentage confidence score for each characteristic. Values below 80 % should be checked manually.

Edit attributes

All extracted fields (manufacturer, model, year, serial number etc.) can be edited directly in the detailed view. Click the pencil icon next to the relevant field.

Change class & rerun analysis

If the detected class is incorrect, you can correct it manually. When you rerun the analysis, the AI takes that decision into account and adjusts the other attributes accordingly.

Verification:

  1. 1 Click on an asset in the list and review the result.
  2. 2 Correct any incorrect attributes or classes — if you change the class, click Re-analyse.
  3. 3 Click Verify to mark the asset as reviewed.
Verification is optional: You can still export without marking assets as “Verified”. Verification does, however, support the internal process and makes quality assurance easier to trace.
6

Export & Handover

After reviewing the results in the Staging Area, the asset data can be exported and transferred to the target system.

  1. 1 In the Staging Area, open the export menu and select the desired format.
  2. 2 Download the export file or transfer it directly to the target system, depending on the configured integration.
